Let me start off by saying, this month you are SO MUCH FUN.
Talking:
New words...where to start!? You basically repeat everything we say and not only do you understand everything we are saying but you are now actively trying to participate in conversations. Like I said before, SO MUCH FUN.
The other night I asked you to put your hands up in the sky so I could pull your shirt off, and you said "Sky! Birds!" Although you regularly associate things, for some reason it meant something more this time. It might have been the way you enthusiastically said birds or the excitement in your eyes when you said it, but it just gave me goosebumps. It may seem like such a small thing, but you were so proud of yourself in that moment and it made my heart swell.
Sleeping:
You go to bed like a champ and usually stay asleep all night. Sometimes you wake up because you've rolled off your mattress but otherwise you sleep until we wake you in the morning. That's right, Daddy and I have to wake you up in the morning and what a struggle! All we have to do to put you to sleep is sit you in your bed, read a couple books, and ask for a kiss. I recently showed you how to do eskimo kisses and last night when I asked for my goodnight kiss you gave me an eskimo kiss instead. Yet another heart-swelling moment!
Eating:
You love broccoli, corn, muffins, berries, bananas and chicken.
I present to you the Five Stages of Corn Love:
1) Get corn in mouth as fast as possible
2) Bite off as many kernels as possible
3) Throw your head back in awe
4) Deliriously repeat steps 1-3
5) Once done, reflect lovingly
In other eating-related news, you've gotten quite good at using a fork:
